KEYWORDS:  Beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, carefree

GENERAL MEANING:  The Fool represents new beginnings, potential and child-like innocence.  This card is all about adventure, personal development and new experiences.  The Fool does need seem to mind not knowing where he is going, he takes a leap of faith and heads down the road free of worry and living carefree.  He encourages you to leave your fear behind and follow your heart.  The Fool also encourages you to believe in yourself and try new ideas.

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  Naivety, foolishness, recklessness, risk-taking

REVERSED:  Unfortunately, this happy-go-lucky and childlike attitude can lead to trouble.  It can represent thinking of investing in a “get rich quick” scheme or that you have found “The One” in a new acquaintance.  He is so caught up in his daydreams that he does not see what is and the dangers that are before him.  He needs to stop and pay attention to his trusted friends or mentors to avoid looking like a fool.

GENERAL MEANING:  The Justice card represents justice, fairness, truth and the law.  The scales are balanced and the situations have been worked out as they are meant to be.  You will now be asked to account for you actions and you will be judged accordingly.  What is happening to you is the result of the decisions you have made in the past and you have what you deserve.  The Justice card is reminding you that your decisions and actions have long term consequences and your past and future circumstances will be a result of those decisions and actions.  This card asks that you search for the truth, know it and speak it.  It is a time to remain objective and base your judgement on fact not gossip   This card can also indicate that you will be faced with a decision.  Be sure to get all the facts as this is an important decision.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Justice cards indicates dishonesty to yourself or others.  You are unwilling to accept responsibility of your actions and to understand the deeper meaning of why the event occurred.  You may also be trying to blame others for your mistakes.  This card is asking you to take responsibility for your past choices and decisions.  It may also indicate that you are making a biased or unfair judgement in a situation.  You must go back over the facts and find the truth.

GENERAL MEANING:  The Magician represents a time when you have ability to harness the power of the Universe and manifest all your desires.  Those desires are represented by the four elements of the Tarot – spiritual (fire – wands), physical (earth – pentacles), emotional (water – cups or mental (air – swords).  The Magician indicates you have the energy and creative power to create a new life cycle for yourself.  This card is about using what tools, resources and skills you have available to you to manifest your goals.  By using your existing knowledge, you will be able to come up with solutions for whatever challenge you encounter.  The Magician indicates that you must be clear and committed to your goals to obtain them. It also indicates you are doing a good job at using everything available to you to reach your goals and you must keep up the good work. 

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  Manipulation, poor planning, latent talents

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  The Magician in reverse can indicate manipulation, deceit and using one’s skills for negative reasons.  It can also be a warning to be careful that you are not used or manipulated by another.  This card can represent your lack of planning or focus and that you are not using all your skills, talents or resources you have available to you.  In order to move forward you must begin to use what is available to you.

GENERAL MEANING:  The Hanged man indicates a time to suspend action and decisions.  It is calling for you to look at life and your circumstances from a different point of view before making a decision or taking action.  This card can sometimes represent a feeling of being stuck.  You need to look within to find why you are feeling this way and let go of those beliefs that are keeping you feeling stuck.  The Hanged Man reminds you that letting go of what is restricting you is the only way to change your situation.  The Hanged Man represents making sacrifices for the greater good.  You must be willing to lose something to gain the ultimate goal.    Take this time to pause and consider your options.

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  Martyrdom, indecision, delay

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Hanged Man represents a period when you are feeling like your life is passing you by while you are stuck on hold.  It suggests that you feel as though you are making great sacrifices and are getting nothing in return.  However, this period is now over and you can expect major changes to begin to occur.  The Hanged Man can indicate that you are putting off making a decision, hoping it will just go away.  But the decision will still need to be made regardless of how long you wait.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed High Priestess indicates you are not listening to your inner voice.  You have become out of touch with your inner self and no longer use or trust your intuition.  This card suggests it is time for you to take the time to practice meditation or some other form mindfulness to reconnect to your subconscious.  It may indicate that you are listening to others instead of what you deep down to be true.  The High Priestess can indicate that there is those around you with hidden agendas or who are spreading gossip.  Face them and find out the truth or what secrets other are keeping from you.

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  Creative block, dependence on others

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Empress suggests a loss of personal power.  You have allowed the concerns and problems of others to take over your life and you have not attended to your personal needs.  This card suggests it is time to take care of you.  The Empress also indicates that you may be having a hard time making decisions about your relationship with another or you are unable to work well with others.  It is time to look within to discover the reason why this is so.  This card may also represent that you are feeling that something is missing from your life and you are not feeling fulfilled.  Again, it is time to look within for the answers.

GENERAL MEANING:  The Temperance card represents, balance, moderation and patience.  It indicates that you have learned to bring balance and moderation into your life on all levels allowing you to eliminate stress and anxiety.  It suggests that you are at peace with taking your time to accomplish things and that you are aware of your life’s purpose and meaning.  The Temperance card also indicates that you have found a balance between your inner and outer worlds.

REVERSED KEYWORDS:  Imbalance, excess lack of long-term vision

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Temperance card represents imbalance.  Something has caused your life to become out of balance and it is causing you great stress and anxiety.  You have become impatient and are refusing to use moderation.  It suggests that you have lost your long-term vision and are feeling unfulfilled.  Return to the Death card to understand what it is you need of let go of to make the changes needed to move forward.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Emperor can indicate that you are someone in your life is misusing their authority or power.  You are feeling powerless and frustrated.  Look into your need to control things and use logic to solve your problems.  The reversed Emperor can also suggest you have a lack of self-control or respect of authority.  It is time to get yourself back under control.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Devil indicates that you have reclaimed your power and you are willing able to break free from your addictions, obsessive and negative behaviors.  You have accepted that you are not imprisoned by anything except your fears.

REVERSED MEANING:  The recovered Hierophant indicates you are feeling restricted or constrained by the rules and boundaries around you.  You want to go against the status quo and do things your way.  You are challenging anything that feels inflexible or rigid.  You no longer want to follow tradition or boundaries set by others.

Examine all your options remembering that the easy path may not be the right path to your best life.  The Lovers can indicate that you will be asked to make a choice that will force you to challenge your morals.  This choice is very much right or wrong and you need to consider all the consequences before you decide.  You must be completely honest with yourself as to why you would choose one way or the other.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Lovers indicates that you are trying to avoid the consequences of a decision you have made. You have made decisions that do not align with you values and now you have disharmony within yourself.  This card is encouraging you to make things right and vow to make better choices in the future.  The Lovers may indicate an imbalance in your relationships.  It is suggesting that you open your heart and communicate with others to bring the relationship back into balance.

REVERED MEANING:  The reversed Star indicates that you have become discouraged and have fallen into despair.  You are focused on the negatives in your life and have lost hope for any positive possibilities.  The reversed Star also that you have become uninspired and have lost your enthusiasm and the joy you felt at one time.  You are overwhelmed by your daily tasks and feel trapped in your life.  This card is a reminder that the negatives in you lives are what brings growth and change.  You must keep faith and believe that the Universe will do what is best for all.  This is a test of faith and you will come out of it a stronger person.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Chariot suggest you are feeling that you have lost control of your life.  You feel as though you have no say the direction you are going.  This reversed card is telling you to exam the situation and take control of what you can and let what you cannot control go.  Get some direction and build on that.  The reversed Chariot can also represent your loss of self-control.  You have been channeling your aggression in the wrong direction and it is now out of control. REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Strength card represents weakness.  You are feeling as though you cannot face or defeat your challenges and you are beginning to feel self-doubt.  Your inner strength and courage are lacking and you are feeling vulnerable.  The reversed Strength card is reminding you that you need to reconnect with your inner strength and draw on your willpower and self-control to overcome any obstacles that you are facing.  Exam the root of your self-doubt and work on eliminating it.

You feel as though there is nothing you can’t accomplish now.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Sun represents a feeling of depression and lack of success.  You have had some setbacks and now you are feeling as though you will not make your goals.  You are allowing your challenges to get the best of you and this is keeping you from moving forward.  You may also be feeling as though you can no longer see a clear path and are now resisting moving forward at all.  The Sun card reminds you that your challenges are like clouds, they are temporary, and they will soon be moving out of your way.  You must keep your faith and put your mind to overcoming them and you will soon be on the right path again.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Hermit can mean one of two things.  It can be telling you that you are spending too much time in isolation and cutting yourself off from others. While spending time alone can be very beneficial, do not forget the value of staying connected with others.  Do not become so absorbed in yourself that you ignore the needs of your family and friends.  One the other hand, the reversed Hermit can represent that you are not taking enough time for personal reflection.  It is suggesting that you take the time to be quiet and mindful and reconnect with your inner self.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Judgement card suggests you are caught up in self-doubt.  You need to remember the challenges you have overcome and move forward with confidence.  The reversed Judgement card reminds you to take some time for self-reflection.  Do not be overly hard or judgmental of yourself.  Get to the core of the matter of issues from your past and draw from the lessons.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed Wheel of Fortune represents a time of bad luck.  This is not a time to take risks or be reckless.  Be more cautious than normal and make sure you have all the facts before you invest or take action on other opportunities.  This card is also about negative external forces being against you.  It suggests that these forces are outside of your control and there is nothing you can do to change that.  Instead look at the decisions and actions you have taken that may have brought you to this place, accept the responsibility of your situation and look for ways to make positive changes.

REVERSED MEANING:  The reversed World card indicates that you are having trouble completing the journey or cycle you are on.  You have tried to skip steps or avoid challenges and now you have become stuck.  You need to return to those challenges and face them, even though they may be painful and hard, so that you can move forward to completion.  Re-energize yourself and remind yourself how great life will be when you have finally reached your goal.
